Great success for Ariane Group !

1st launch of Ariane 6 happened on July 9^th at 9pm. This European flagship left from Kourou in Guyana. Reaching a speed of 10 000 meters/second, it will leave the atmosphere, 600km from the earth, where the last generation satellites will be put into orbit.

On board the rocket, many different kinds of springs, made of titanium, copper, nickel and cobalt were designed by Ariane Group and Ressorts Masselin. They are used for very specific applications, still confidential.
